Beritabali.com, Denpasar. Currently there are hundreds of classic cars owned by collectors in Bali. The idea to create a classic car museum also emerged from Bali classic car lovers.
Penasehat Perhimpunan Penggemar Mobil Kuno Indonesia (PPMKI) Bali or Advisor of The Ancient Car Association Indonesia, Jos Dharmawan stated, there are currently about 400 classic cars in Bali. With so many classic cars in Bali, Jos plans to build a classic car museum.
"Currently we are still exploring the land, the land becomes one of the obstacles because the land in Bali is currently expensive, so we will cooperate with the traditional village in Bali," he said.
With the classic car museum in Bali, Jos said this will add to the charm of Bali as a tourist destination.
"With the classic car museum in Bali, people will come repeatedly because there are hobby factors, but if you only rely on nature and culture, the possibility of tourists will come once to Bali. If associated with emotional or hobby, will come again and again," he believed.
Jos said, if the museum classic car of Bali will be able to present all the car ex-President Sukarno which amounted to 16 units in Indonesia, then this will be an interesting story for visitors. There was also an interesting story about the prewar cars between 1908 and 1930's.
"Here there will be interesting stories, guests will come again and again," he told beritabali.com
, in Vintage Cars Rice, Jalan Tegal Harum 13 Biaung, East Denpasar, Thursday (15/06/2017).
With the new tourist attraction in the form of a classic car museum in Bali, Jos optimist that one day in Bali there will be no more term "low season" and "high season" for tourist visit.
"It will always be high season of tourism, because there is something interesting that tourists want to see. Especially now we see people like take a selfie or photo Photographs, so if they can photograph in front of the classic car is certainly an interesting. People will be proud if you can photograph in front of the tourist buses of Bali in the 60's, or can photos with the car of former President Sukarno, "said Jos.
Related to the development plan of classical car museum of Bali, Jos stated that there has been talk with Gianyar Regent and Singakerta Village in Ubud.
"We have talked to Mr. Cok Ace about the plan to build a classic car museum in Ubud, in Singakerta Village, but this is still an exploration stage that takes time. With the tourism office of Bali has also received support, and we are encouraged to accelerate the construction of museums," He said.[wrt]
