Beritabali.com, Tabanan. Piodalan ceremony at Tanah Lot Temple which falls every six months. This ceremony can be seen by tourists who visit Tanah Lot Destination, in Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, on Wednesday, September 21,2016 .
Thousands of Hindus from across Bali island since at 03.00 am started to arrive to hold prayers at the piodalan ceremony in Tanah Lot Temple.
Besides crowded by Hindu to hold prayers, Tanah Lot also crowded with tourists both domestic and foreign. The ambiance of worship became an attraction for foreign and domestic tourists. They do not want to miss a moment of piodalan ceremony in Tanah Lot Temple which was held only once every six months.
Operations Manager of Tanah Lot Destination, I Ketut Toya Adnyana, said piodalan ceremony adds to the attractiveness rating. Therefore, many tourist are awaiting implementation piodalan ceremony at Pura Tanah Lot and a number of temples in the area. "Tourist are excited to see the direct religious procession in Tanah Lot Destination," he said.
Toya Adnyana said piodalan series of ceremonies in the Pura Tanah Lot begins with Ida Bethara ngebejian ceremony on September 20, 2016. The ceremony was held at 15:00 pm, to cleanse or purge all "pratima" (sacred objects) with holy water from Beji (water source holy) in Tanah Lot Temple.
While the ceremonies "ngaturang pujawali" in Pura Luhur Tanah Lot itself carried out since Wednesday morning at 01.00 am till 23.00 pm and led by Hindu Priests “Mangku Semudra”.
Each custom in the village Pekraman Beraban, in turns mutual cooperation since Sunday September 18, 2016. Piodalan ceremony at Pura Luhur Tanah Lot will last until Saturday, September 24, 2016. (bbn/rbn/nod)
