Beritabali.com, Renon. Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (IHRA) Bali regret the practice of price-slamming of hotel rooms in Bali that turns more incredibly insane, causing the lower hotel room rates.

Based on the observation IHRA Bali hotel room rates for city hotels in Bali has touched the per-day rate of Rp. 300,000 to Rp. 200,000.

Chairman of IHRA Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Sukawati Ardhana  has made a statement in Renon, it said the practice of price-slamming is the one thing we worry because the number of hotel rooms continues to grow. Even in some cases the construction of hotels in Bali are not built through the watch of Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

"According to experiences we got in this case, there are many new hotels are not built through this mechanism, not through BKPM, there was a shop that had been turned into a hotel,  and it increases the numbers of hotels here, and the mistake comes out when those rooms lead to unfair competition," said Tjokorda Oka Ardhana Artha Sukawati.

Tjokorda Oka Artha Sukawati Ardhana insists, it is time there is mutual agreement in Bali for a moratorium or suspension of the construction of the hotel. The moratorium is needed to evaluate the need for hotel rooms in Bali.
